My name is Annie Makunganya am 20 yrs old, a mother, a student and a player for Hippos Rugby Club. Am proud to say am now a form four student at Pamodzi Tingathe Foundation Private Secondary school, thanks to Rugby For Education for helping me to get back to school after i dropped out as i was found pregnant while i was in form one. After what happened my parents didn't want me to get back to school as it was hard for them to support my kid and my education, and this forced me not to have another chance of education from my family. one day on my way back from market i met my coach who happens to be the director of Rugby For Education who got interested to know why am not back to school and also not reporting for Rugby training and other Rugby activities, after hearing the side of my story he decided to go and contact my parent so that he work together with them to get me back to school. After their discussions, I was very happy hearing that i will be going back to school and start playing rugby again. My mother assured me that she will be looking after my child when am at school and at Rugby activities. Today here i am, back to school and back to Rugby, all educational support like school fee, school uniform and other necessities am be provided by Rugby For Education. My message to my fellow young girls is that they should not rush into early marriage or early pregnancies because life and future gets compromised, and all dream becomes hard to reach, lets work hard in class it will be easy to attain our brighter futures, it might be just my lucky that am back to school. when i finish my school i would like to be trained as a nurse, get a job and support my family and help those who will need my help, more especially regarding education. When you want to find me, find me at school or at Rugby
Thank you R4E for all the support you lender, not only for me but for other too, God bless you.
Annie.
